Fall Trends

I don't know about you, but I am so excited about the fall! It's the perfect time to pull out those cute boots, fall jackets, and an excuse to buy the hottest new trends! Here are a few must-haves to add to your wardrobe this season.

The Boyfriend Blaze and Jeans

Boyfriend blazers and jeans are roomy, as if you borrowed them from one of the men in your life. Because of their shape, these blazers look best over form-fitting styles, like body contouring dresses and skinny jeans.

Boyfriend Blazer shown is at Dillards.com for $59 and jeans are at ae.com

Boots/Booties

My personal favorite trend of the season! They come in an array of colors, lengths and styles, and look great for work or a night out. My personal picks are the over the knee boots, the peep-toe booties, and the cut-out bootie.

The bootie is $149 at bananarepublic.com, the peep-toe is $130 at aldoshoes.com and the over-the-knee can be found for $159 at bebe.com

Graphic Tights
These are the perfect accessories to any outfit and can be worn with pumps, sandals, boots, or whatever to help you make the transition to cold weather...and the prints add a great contrast to any outfit!

Tights are $6.80 at forever21.com

Other fall trends to watch out for: Transforming Pieces (dresses, handbags, etc), Cardigans, Jewel Tones, and Faux Fur.

A New-Age Black Woman!

A little something written by my LS, enjoy!

Yes, I am a Black woman. A woman whose heritage begins in Africa. And? Why do you label me militant? Because I speak for myself? Because the media or research says so? Is it the attitude I’m giving you because this is the fifteenth time you’ve tried to holler at me AFTER I’ve made it clear that I have a man? Is it because I’m trying to do something with my life? Is it because I want to be treated better and respected? Why do you put labels on me? You should be glad that I am a Black woman who has a college education and then some, who does NOT have multiple kids before 20 years old, with NO sign of HIV/AIDS, who has a job--sorry--career, believes in monogamy, and trying to live a God-fearing life. Yet, I deal with your stares, your disgust, your unwanted remarks. Do you not realize what I go through everyday? I’m brought down by the assumption that I have a bad attitude, stuck up, and ‘act‘ just like a black woman. My image is tainted by many black women who choose to live off of welfare, who have five kids by four different men, who don‘t want to do nothing but live in or start chaos. I am wrongly compared to other women of other races.

Let me set you straight for a minute and clear up your misconceptions, friend. I am not ghetto nor do I plan to be. I am not uneducated and I’ll never will be. I am not mad or stupid or third-class or anything that you label me as because you do not know me, my friend. If you think you do, you are sadly mistaken. I am a New-Age Black woman. I’m independent with a heart of gold, a mind like a priceless diamond, with perspectives of a dove. I have a glide like no other and a body that is of profound royalty. You don’t know what I am capable of nor will you be able to wrap your fragile thought process around the concept. I am not a hoe, a bitch, a mere woman, or anything simple. I am. Don’t speculate, just know. I’m not militant, I’m confident: swagger that is unmatched. Get it right or get it together.

Celebs and Dating Sites

Well, Khloe seemed to overshadow everyone (for once) this weekend, but it seems that she wasn't the only one to get married. Actress, Essence Atkins tied the knot with her boyfriend, Jamie Mendez, that she met on Match.com. Now, I've never personally tried the dating site thing, but if there's a chance that Dwight Howard may have a profile and we can be matched and married within a year's time, then I might need to reconsider!

Congrats Essence Mendez!

Whatever You Want

Sooo...feeling the new song by Consequence, "Whatever You Want", but this video is so-so. I mean, the girls look great, the scenery makes me want to head back to Miami, but this girl and this Dutty Wine is a bit ridiculous! A shot of her doing it once or twice would have been okay, but this is overkill.

Is Khloe Kardashian's Wedding Real Or Fake?

Something old (her mom), something new (her boobs), something borrowed (Lamar Odom), something blue (Kim for no longer being the star Kardashian)...Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom tied the knot on Sunday, but some are speculating that their wedding might not have been legal.

According to radaronline.com Odom texted his former girlfriend of 12 years and mother of his 2 children a month before the wedding to tell her that he was getting married and wanted them to meet his future wife. According to Liza, in all the years she was with Lamar and the fact that they share kids, they never discussed marriage. She claims Lamar is “a commitment-phobe” and believes this rushed wedding is in “impulse” on his part.(FameCrawler)

What's your take on the wedding? Is it real or fake? How long do you give the couple before they call it quits? Was the wedding just for ratings? Your thoughts people!
